Terms and Conditions

Welcome to product.islandai.co (the "Platform"), operated by Island AI Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your access and use of the Platform and all SaaS products made available through it, including but not limited to:

  • laws.mu – a legal research chatbot
  • BrushUp – a virtual room painter
  • Other AI-powered tools and services made available on or through the Platform ("Products")

By using the Platform or any Product, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform or the Products.

1. Scope of Agreement

These Terms form a single, unified agreement between you and Island AI Ltd for your use of all Products offered via product.islandai.co. Individual Products may publish additional guidelines or policies (e.g., usage limits, acceptable use rules). If there is a conflict, these Terms will prevail unless explicitly stated otherwise.

2. Accounts & Access

  • To access paid features of any Product, you must create an account on the Platform.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. Any actions taken under your account are your responsibility.
  • Accounts are personal and non-transferable unless expressly authorized by us.

3. Payments & Subscriptions

  • All payments for all Products are processed exclusively through the centralized Payment Gateway at product.islandai.co.
  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly/annual, as chosen) until canceled.
  • Prices may vary between Products. Any price change will be communicated at least 15 days in advance.
  • By subscribing, you authorize Island AI Ltd (and our payment providers) to charge your chosen payment method.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • You may cancel a subscription at any time via your account dashboard.
  • Unless otherwise stated in a Product-specific policy, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Access continues until the end of the paid billing cycle after cancellation.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform or Products for unlawful purposes.
  • Copy, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code of any Product.
  • Share or resell access to any Product without authorization.
  • Upload harmful, misleading, or infringing content.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All Products, software, content, and trademarks remain the property of Island AI Ltd or its licensors.
  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Products strictly as permitted by these Terms.

7. Data & Privacy

  • We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • By using the Platform, you consent to such collection and processing.
  • You retain ownership of your input data but grant us the right to process it to deliver the Products.

8. Service Availability & Liability

  • The Platform and Products are provided "as is" and "as available."
  • We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Island AI Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform or Products.

9. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or misuse the Products.
  • Upon termination, your right to access the Products ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius. Any disputes shall first be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.

11. Amendments

We may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be published at product.islandai.co. Continued use of the Platform or any Product after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
