Island AI ("Island AI", "we", "us" or "our") provides software products and connectors, including LAWS, MU, the Voiceflow Facebook Connector and other tools offered at product.islandai.co (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account & contact data — name, email address, company name, billing details and login credentials you provide when you sign up or get in touch.
- Payment data — processed by our third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
- Content you submit — documents, messages, prompts, knowledge-base files and other data you provide so a product can perform its function (for example, contracts processed by LAWS or conversations handled by the Voiceflow Facebook Connector).
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps and similar diagnostic information collected automatically.
- Communications — messages you send us by email or support channels.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services;
- Process payments, manage subscriptions and send service-related notices;
- Respond to enquiries and provide customer support;
- Monitor performance, prevent abuse and keep the Services secure;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms;
- With your consent, send product updates and marketing you can opt out of at any time.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) requires it, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers — hosting, payment, analytics and AI infrastructure partners who process data on our behalf under contract;
- Platform integrations — where a product connects to a third-party platform (for example Facebook/Meta for the Voiceflow Facebook Connector or Voiceflow itself), data is shared as needed to deliver that integration, subject to those platforms' own terms and privacy policies;
- Legal & safety — authorities or third parties where required by law or to protect rights, property or safety;
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
6. AI processing & your content
Some Services use artificial intelligence to process the content you submit. We use your content to deliver the requested feature (for example generating a summary or replying to a chat message). We do not use your private content to train third-party foundation models without your consent, and we work only with AI providers that offer appropriate confidentiality and security commitments. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you provide.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it. You may request deletion of your account data as described below.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring — to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data and will notify you and relevant authorities of any breach as required by law.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.
10. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
11. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect it.
12. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be notified to you directly.
14. Contact us
